PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Lanco 1400 SF provides improved surface slip and hardness in wood coatings. The product produces a fine, smooth surface finish with controlled matting. It is easily dispersed into the formulation and shows very good storage stability.

The product may be used on its own or in combination with silica matting agents.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Lanco 1400 SF has been especially formulated for use in solvent borne wood finishes and varnishes. It can also be used in waterborne and radiation-cured systems.

Lanco 1400 SF surface modifier can be easily dispersed using low speed mixers. Formulation variables such as viscosity, solvent package, resin type, selection of dispersant, pigment surface treatment, etc. can influence the ease of incorporation. High energy dispersers may offer advantages in some applications.

The recommended addition level of Lanco 1400 SF is 0.5-2%, based on total formulation weight. No influence on intercoat adhesion has been observed with this product. It is recommended that recoat ability is checked in critical cases, especially at higher addition rates.

SHELF LIFE/STORAGE

For shelf life information please refer to the packaging label and the Certificate of Analysis. It provides the date of manufacturing (DOM) and a recommended re-test date (RRD). The RRD for Lanco 1400 SF is 1825 days after DOM.

Material should be stored on pallets in closed areas. A storage temperature of 40°C should not be exceeded.

Lanco 1400 SF is packaged in 15 kg (33 lbs) bags, palletized.
